1. In spite of the many rumors on the subject, there is no evidence that any
railroad lines in Hungary have been converted to the Russian broad gauge;,
2, Direct trains continue to run to all the adjacent countries with the excep-
tion of the Soviet Union, and the only place whore it is necessary to change
trains is Csap (Chop),, on the Soviet border.

until-they have been converted, it would not be feasible to convert the
branch lines.
