Numerous now fuel tanks and cans were seen in the battalion fuel dump. Guarded reliefs checked the seals on the tanks. -~: U. No military personnel were observed in the quarters of the medical bat- talion of the Vienna divisors, Activities in the 1', Alekseyev Hospital were, normal, 12. Tile 106th Gds liv Tank 3P Regt in Kagran tP 49/i 49) was still at its post during the first week of July 19 50, Intensive maintenance work on the armored vehicles of the regiment read been started in early July 1950. There was an order that the minimum supply of fuel for the armored vehicles had to be for 150 engine hours. The recuired fuel was on hand. A ship- ment of fuel arrived on 6 July 1950. 13. Sonde tanks of the regiment had gone to the artillery range near Bruck on the Jeitha River tiR 49/X 77) after the spring of 1950. A plan to ship out elements of the regiment to a troop training grounds had been dropped. *** Personnel of the regiment frequently criticized the American tank arm. Pictures of U$ tanks circulated among them. The attitude of the troops was one of a pronounced self-assuredness and belligerence. 25X1 25X1 A Commen.t.
