For this purpose a large gallery was dug up,, and testings established that there was approximately one hundred million cubic meters of this petroleum-bearing sand,, and that it will produce 10 percent petroleum ac td benao1 A large building,, to handle these tests. had been partially built prior to World Tar II; it had not been completed. and during the war it was completely demolished. 31 intensive testing of particles of this sand had been done during a period of close cooperation between Yugoslavia and Albania, and samples were sent to Rijeka,, where tests produced positive results. the Yugoslavs had planned to utilize this sand in the production of' sphalt conglomerates a but these plans were not implemented .following the YugoslavAlbanian rift, Approved For Release 2001/03/05: CIA-RDP82-00457R005600240011-6
