25X1X In July 1949 the division
stationed in We Braila area in April 194 was the 25th
Gds Uecz Div., The movement observed at
Harsova may have been connected with the unloading of
25X1X troops observed in Canara between 10 and 12
May 1950, The present report states that
Soviet troops were unloaded from on 25X1A
29 May 1950. Although mentioned the
information may indicate that the Soviet forces of about one
division possibly the 25th Gds Mecz Div, which were pre-
viously ' elieved to be in the Braila area, may have moved
by rail and road to the area north of Constanta in April and
May 19500
(2) Soviet field exercises were tossibly held in the Babadag area
in April 1950.
(3) The AA guns were ?poss..Luly emplaced in connection with the troop
trains which went to Canard. in Nay 1 0 running via Fetesti
(4) Similar rail shipments were in 25X1A
Filiasi,on 10 .Tuno 1950 and in Craiova on 1June 19 0 , See
25X1 X the trains had come from
the U.S.S.R. and proceeded toward Timisoara. It cannot be
established whether these trains carried replacements and
supplies from the U.S.S.R. to Soviet units stationed in
Rumanian or whether they were concerned with movements of
Soviet forces on route from the U.S.S.R. to Rumania, or
en route from eastern to Western Rumania
