The former buildinc, 9f the Landesbauernschaft (state
farmers' association) on a chwaanerstrasse p GUestrow, was
occupied by an unidentified number of :,,VD troops on 6 LT
1950. soviet troops were still observed in 13 houses on
Goldbergerstrasse The former Lo.ndoskinderheim ( state
home for children) seemed vacated, but was not yet relin-
quished by the ;soviets. (1)
No Soviet soldiers were observed in :alchin on 7 !."ay 1950
l,ocrl residents said that no troops were stationed in the
entire -al- chin County. (2)
-about 50 soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets were
seen for the first time in the :soviet compound on 2uGust
