1. Only guard details of 50 to 60 men each were stationed in the
Panzer Kaserne and infanterie Kasercie, Y.asnenz (N 52/A 41), on
4 May 1950. tour T34 tanks were parked in the are:a of the i~aanzer
Kaserne, near the gate facing Liotrichstrasse'.
2. It was learned on 17 May 1950 that the Panzer Kaserne was recently
reoccupied by 300 to 400 troops The soldiers were 16 or 17 years
of aEc and had closely cropped hair. They wore red-bordered black
epaulets. About 120 soldiers in Lroups of 10 to 15 were seen doing
close order drill.
Comment. The Kamenz units of the 11th Gds Tank Div left for
c;oen .sbrueck during the first half of April 1950. The infonuation
on the arrival of about 300 recruits in f'arenz on 17 1'iay 1950
comparee with similar reports of the arrival of recruits at other
military posts.
