Two Barzani couriers traversed northwest Iran from the Soviet Union to Iraq
one of these men was the brother of T1tulla Tlustafa Barzani. One mission
of the courier was to arrange for the passage
of the Barzanis through Iran from the 115511 to Iraq.
Fattah Agha, chief of the Sarhad subtribe of the Herki Kurds, arrived
in Ushnuiyeh ( o '" o '"), Iran, during the week ending 3 July.
He is reported o have told many that Iranian Kurds
should support feature passage of the Baraanis. There is no indication
of the date of such a passe
Sometime during the period 22 June to 3 July Iraq reinforced its border
guards along the Iran-Iraq frontier, southwest of Rezaieh.
The Iranian Army has reinforced the Ushnuiyeh district with 800
regular cavalry troops*
