l? Sailors of Greek and Pcnammian ships recently returned to Egypt from the
USSR report that while in Odessa they saw about a dozen Rumanian and
Soviet ships being loaded with military trucks and very large cases.,
probably containing light tanks or armored cars,, because the cranes of
the ships and of the quay could not lift the cases in question, and
floating cranes capable of lifting lO or 12 tons had to be used in ovder
to load the caseso The ships left Odessa for Albania.
2, Two of the recently arrived Soviet grain ships which unloaded in the port
of Alexandria received orders to leave Egypt at once for Albania. Instruc-
tions arrived six hours before their scheduled departures
