Alfons Polzer, a former Social Democrat, is Assistant General Director in charge of administration at Skoda and the Czech rye ;allurgical ' Torks. He was administrative head of the.Skooda Teheran office in 1938. 2. Ing. Ibibeska, former Director of the Export Department, Technical Sections failed in his plan to expand the Skoda office in India, even though he had received the support of the Czech government. He had been preparing to go to India in order to head this newly enlarged office, when the Czech gav'er>rr- rtent directed that the expansion not take place. It as rumored that the Soviet Embassy in Prague had been responsible for this decision.. A lawyer named Kleinerq who is with the Czech Construction Works in Prague, is also re-' ported to have interfered withthis plan and also with an agreement betwaen the Czech Construction Works and Major Dewnn Jermani. Dass in Delhi, India., for the construction of two large dams in India, one In Eaparthala and the other in Patiala. '-rte noar-Cowunist chief engineers at the Lanna Works (sic) had been assigned to the project. Among them was Dr., Jirausek who has studied dam construction in Switzerland in 1948. Major Dass is said to have been greatly disillusioned by the failure of this plan to material- ize. This project was believdto be advantageous to both the Czech Con- struction Works and India because that country is plazn the construction of about 31 larg6 dams within the next 20 years. 1mg. Rubeaka and Ing. Flabnrich, who has probably returned to India, bad been working on these con- atruettion plans. Ile is a Communist who is in good favor with the goverment and was reported to be on route to the United states. He succeeded Ing. Rubeska who, although still in the sane department, has almost completely lost his executive powers. k. Krejci, a director in the Export Department. In 194 he was appointed to head the Skoda offices in Switzerland but he did not go because he ?id not inspire confidence. 1. Kriz: Chief of the Skoda foreign staff; is anti-Communist. rz. Zalud: a fanatical Comunist w?io is ^tated to have replaced Krejci. n. Ing. Dufek: Armanert departrent. o. Ing. Burianek: A director in the armament department at Plzen in 1938. p. Ind;.
