On the night of 28 May police detectives of the Penjelidiic Aliran Masjara- kat (PAM) (Political Investigation Department, Indonesian Political Police) ordered a Chinese Communist propaganda exhibition put on by the Chinese Dramatic Association in the Concordia Building in Bandung to close at once. This association is a branch of the Min Sheng She's Federation of Chinese Dramatic Clubs with headquarters in Djakarta. The next day the officials of the Chinese Dramatic Association were officially charged by the police with "violation of the order to maintain peace in Chinese quarters by evading trouble."
