The F (11 April) Battalion of the Tentera Republik Indonesia Serikaat (TRIS)) which was organized on 11. April 1949 by the late Maj. Abdulraaohmany held its first annual celebration on 11 April 1950 in Sumcdaang. Among those present at the celebration were: Lt. Col. Erie Sudewo Chief of Staff and second in command of the Siliwangi Division, Resident of Friaangaan Chief of Police of Priaangaan 2. The following units of the TRIS are stationed in the Celebesa Commandant Unit Location Capt. do 'Calnter Commandant of the Royal Netherlands Indonesian Army (RPIIA) battalion at Suanedaang. The extremist battalion of Major Bedjo of.Centrel Sumatra and the Malaoh Battalion are being transferred from kedan to Cheribon Residency to take over from the 4 Brigade of Lt. Col. Rukman. The 4 Brigade is being transferred to the Celebes. 4. The 4 Brigade wc.a originally a group of Murba irreguL:rs called the Kesatuan Perdjoangan Rakjrit Murba (Proletarian Fighting Unit). This unit was joined by more irregul:.rs and eventually organized into the 4 Brigade by the Ten- tera Nasional Indonesia (now the TRIS). 5. In addition to the Bedjo and Malaoh Battalions, three other battalions of the Siliwangi Division have been transferred to Cheribon Residency to help cope with the activities of the Tentera Islam Indonesia. (TTI). The latter three battalions came from Bantam, Bogor and Purwakarta. In all there are approximately 4,750 members of the TRIS in Cheribon Residency.
