There is a division of Communist troops in Trngchiang (111-53, 21-52) en of which one regiment guards the Yangchinng-Hoshan (112-04, 21-59) highway, the rest are scattered along the coast. Since 18 March 1950, 30,000 Comr'u- mist troops with artillery and some Japanese artillerymen have passed south along the highway between Enning (112-19, 2e-12) and Tangchiang to Tienpa- (111-21, 21_28).* Ammunition is being atockniled in Yangchiang. 2. The Communists continue to requisition and mobilize fishing junks from islands betwre~: n Santsao (113-, 22-) and Malaochiao (sic) (113-31, 22-09) and openly state that they plan to use them against the Ladrone Islands. There are 300 Communist troops in Chino (113-39, 22-24). Most of the Communist artillery in the 4 and 6 Arer s (sic) of Chungehan ha,, len has been vdthdrawn.** 3.
