the Ambassador, Dr. Ali Sastroamidjojo,arrived in 74ahington, is now in
Indonesia. he is trying frantioally to make money by virtue of his posi-
tion and is offering Chinese exporters in Djakarta his services if they
take him into their firm as a silent partner and also put up all oapitalo

the American Indonesian Corporation. LIM is also believed to be involved
in the smuggling of arms from Malaya to Indonesia. He has also been
reported involved in the emu;,gling of narootics.
Comment, Most Indonesiancfficials appear to be trying to make
es killing in business quickly at the expense of Government administrations
which they are neglecting.
