Production is running smoothly in spite of a shortage of cathode--collper0
This shortage has been overcome by using wire-bars, of which a great quantity
has been imported lately. A total of 250 tons of rolled wire-bars, imported
from San Antonio., Chile, arrived on the SS Orinoko via Rott.erdam. This purchase
was made through the Swiss firm "S.A. pour le Commerce Exterieur" (sic). Zurich0
Further copper imports are received from Finland via Poland., from LSexico (brands
"CDL" and "DRv") via Aschaffenburg (sic), Germany, from Russia via Cierna nad
Tisou (Cierria pri Cope)., and from Yugoslavia along the Danube. Fifty tons of
aluminum cakes arrived from Hung~,rys and lead pipes containing one percent
antimony are to be acquired from Uarshall Plan supplies through an unknown source.
