THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
660 to 1,300 feet west of the southern roar bridge near
KIEV (30o30'E/500281N) 0 A factory field, 650 feet square,
was west of the plant.. #Ic field had fuel tank installa-
tions ane extended east of a broad street with a street-
car line.: The plant area sloped to the south.

3. Plant histor :
The plant suffered only minor damage during the war.. The
machinery was transferred to the Ural district. 1 he plant
was repaired in 1945; its machinery was 60 percent German
and 25 percent US origin. Production was resumed about
the beginning of 1948,

in the materials depot.

About 1.3 miles southwest of the northern road bride,
on the southeast border of KIEV.
The plant area was 1,000 x 500 feet; there were 3 buildinrts,
one L-shaped. A forge and a wcr kshop were under
constru~:cion.

Much aluminum sheet material was used in the plant.
14. Rate of production:
Two or three trucks loaded with about 45 boxes under leads
and without markings left the plant every day. Soviets
stated that

About two miles east-southeast of the KIEV main railroad
station. -'here was a market square on the western side of
the plant which was bordered by the broad Krasnaya Armelska
Street on the west. Dwelling; houses but no factories were
located in the plant vicinity.

Plant No 1. This designation may possibly refer.to the PW
detachment, which was assigned ned to work there.
18. History:
The plant is an old aircraft accessories plant. Its recon-
struction and expansion started in 1945? In 1948, the plant
was modernly equipped and seemed to be in good shape.

Five to seven hundred Soviets in the day shift. tivork
done in three shifts.
20. Production:
According to Soviet statements, accessories for an aircraft
plant in KI BV. Source believed that aircraft equipment was
produced.
21. Rate of production:
b'ive to seven trucks loaded with 16 x 16 x 16-inch boxes left
the plant every day. Three-to eight-mm' plywood plates were
shipped out on seven trucks once a week.

located in the southeast section of KIEV. tue to the lack

cannot be established. The statement made

c. The data on the production of radio sets, electrical
equipment for a3.r af+ ii: addition to the sbipp'ing of plywood
plates frcm this plant (para. 21) is not clear. In another
report it was stated that Plant No 1, according to 6oviet
statements, was a delivery plant for wings and landing gears
for Airframe Plant 14o 473 in K:i.EV. These divergencies require
clarification.
