1. The .Portu zese Government has advised Macao officials to sign mutual as-
sistance pacts with all countries that have colonies near Macao. The pacts
are to accord with terms of the Colonial Alliance of 1936 among Britain$
France, the Netherlands and Portugal,
2. Pedro Jose Lobo, head of the Macao econonic bureau, conw)leted ne(oti,-+tions
in Hong Yong with the French consul for a ?act with the French in Indochina.
On 16 December in t??tacao a representative of the French Far east administrative
commission signed the pact.
