1. ..bout 30 fighters (radial engine, retractable landing de r,
gray-blue paint, mostly angular, trapezoidal wings) were
observed at the .:;:iAAKEN (N 53/Z 65) airfield. The fighters
were practicing intensively in 0-ood weather. Nine twin-
engine aircraft with single rudder assembly were also
parked at the field. These aircraft had possibly been
transferred from the SCE-i0 il; VAL.i)i; (N 53/Z 66) airfield sir.ce
the same number of planes and the same type had been
previously observed there.
2 :A wiridoona and a black wicker-work ball were hoisted on
the flight control station. A radio station with a radii
true , a 20-foot mast and a covered set. probably a search#?
