complete bail-bearings but solely the halls. The Deutsche Kugellagorfabrik
in Leipzi^,, ?38hilitzEhren'-9rg, is also sufrerinq from a lack of
rair materials.
One hundred cement rrindinr nills, manufactured by the Krupp-Grueon ~, rlcs
in 1-Ta,gdeburr! , had not been delivered by ';arch 1949 because of a lack of roller-
bearings (Pende1ro11Qn3ar*er), The conveyor bridm

the beginning of 1949 because it needed two roller-bearin^a (Pendelrollen3.arer No.
32), each of which woirhs approximately 240 kg, The authorities at I3Bhlen are

The Astra 'i rks in Chemnitz are manufacturin-, ball-bearing equipment cares and
runners frow hoop steel. The necessary hardness is achieved by pressing the
iteel according to a new process discovered by one Ing. Bilz of Cherinitz,
5. Pa. Krautheim, an B.A.G. firm, has two factories, one at AltenOorf employing
340 I.-nrkers, the other at Chemnitz-11-)rna employing 1400 moricers. They have
been producing ac1e bearings and steel castings for the Reichsbahn, There is
alas a pi" iron foundry presently engaged on a contract for 400 tons of grey
