On 12 April he went to Tegucigalpa., Honduras, and returned to Managua on TAP:: 16 April:, Allegedly the trip was chiefly for pleasure, but Txb1ada was asked by local labor and PSN leaders to contact certain persons ..n El S :l.va.dor and Honduras, 2,, In accordance with these requests Tablade called on three labor officials during his stay in San Salvador. These were Carlos Alex Gomez and Benjamin fllejis Martinez of the Union de Trsbajadores Ferrocarrileros and Nerciso Lacayo of the Empleados de Comercion Upon his return, according to_ source, Taibiada reoorted that he had talked with all three and had discussed the progress of the labor movement in Nicaragua. T ablada stated that he was questioned particularly about the r eaions for the aliiance with .Absalom, Goraalez, and that he explained that this was made necessary by the desire of the PSN to form a single central labor organization, which could obtain official representation, Once control of the new organization is es uablished, Tablada reportedly told the Srivadorans, Gonzalez would be repleced0 Tableda. S i.d that this explanation was necessary, inasmuch as theS lvadcrsns expressed some doubts, regarding the path being taken by the PSN in Nicaragua.. After the discussion it was agreed that the Steps taken locally were Justified by C treums tenses . 'stated that Gomez is the most Important Communist in the Salvadoran movement, and that Vejie is also prominen to Tablada was told by Gomez that no money had been sent to Nicaragua in care of Humberto Blanco, as .;:romi_sed, because they had given a sizeable amount to Armando Amador when tthe:. .:.titter passed through San Salvador en route to Mexico in February 1949. They reportedly told Tab1?:ada that for some unknown reason Amador had not acknowisdged receipt of this rioney.
