A group of Nicaraguan revolutionary leaders, including General Emiliano
Chamorro, called on President Arevalo of Guatemala around 23 March to
16g their plans and to solicit his assistance,

a revolutionary identified with the Castillo Ibarra faction of the
Nicaraguan opposition.

improbable that the former would lend his assistance to an anti-Somoza
movement which did not carry the assurance that if and when Somoza is
overthrown Torres would emerge as No. 1 man in Nicaragua.
