(e) In the Celebes there is stationed onebattalion of mixed troops
consisting of three field infantry conies,, one machine gun platoon,
one engineer comparV and one light field battery. The main force is
at Makassar with one infantry company at Menado0
(b) On the islands of Bali and Lombok one battalion of field infantry
occupies the two islands.,
Dutch Titer is occupied by one battalion of field infantry which con-
sists of one company at Kupang, one compa r at At ua near the
border of Portuguese Timor and one comoaryr at Endo on the island of
Floras,,
(d) The island of Ambon is occupied by one cotpary and supporting groups
in the town of l aoina
(e) One comparq is divided between Ternate and Halmahera.
(f) One company is stationed in New Guinea.

protected by police detachments. F
3. There was a pre-Tray secret airfield on the island of Alor. There are auxiliary
airfields in the convict col c at Ata i , and at Selor and Termte.
