25X1X6 1. Chitral "yehtar (the ?iehtar of Chitral) died in December, 1948.
2. He is succeeded by his oldest son, who is rumored to be "worthless".
3. ?:tuta ul Mulk, brother of the deceased Chitral P,ehtar, is now in the
)'eshawar jail on a charge of stealing Azad war materials and attempting
to sieve the territory of Chitral.
1. The Chitralis who engaged in'the Kashmir dispute were notably poor
soldiers.
5. The clan of Rabman Kul Beg moved to the Wakhan district of Afghanistan
some 16 gars ago. This move was an attempt to escape from Russian
domination and influence. However, WWakhi Communists from Shogan*
followed the clan to the Wakhan district. Part of the-Rah-an Kul Beg
clan moved to China** eighteen months ago.
