1, The brother of Abd-elKrim, the Emir Mohammed, recently stated in private
conversation that the Moroccans have no alternative but to resort to force
if they are to bring Spain around to an equitable solution of their
problem. He feels that the present Spanish government is loaning its grip,
but this a matter of indifference since, ' in his opinion, even a change of
regime in Spain would not bring about any basic revision of the present
policy in Morocco.
2, The S.ir Moheamied is skeptical of' he value of collaboration between the
Uorocoam and the minorities of the Iberian peninsula with the aim-of
unseating Spanish centralism. He feeds that at the crucial moment each
group would forget its ooiOiitin nts to the rest and concentrate on advancing
its own Interests.
