1. There is a small station at Bitterfeld, in the Electroteohniaohes Kombinat,
workinn on eXperiments to determine the r'ast satisfactory way of extereinat-
ing paracitical inmate. At present research is being done on the extermi-
nation of corn bugs and potato beetles. Only a handful of people are enplcyed
and the station is of snail irportanoe. The director of the station is Dr.
Weisspflug.

The following pesticides are In production at Fahlberg-List, Magdeburg.
a. Copper oxychloride.
Prooedure: 150 kgs of Cu 12 we treated with 75 kgs of powdered chalk is
1,000 amble meters of water, or a saturated 0112 solution (RC1 solution)
was stirred with powdered chalk in appropriate quantities in a cold tempers-
tyre (using C02), and the copper oaryohloride formed vas dried in a drying
cupboard, ground and mi=d.
