The organization of former Rumanian career officers has not yet taken
final form. A steering committee composed of Colonel Tomuwoveanu,
Colonel Neferu, Commander Arpad Gherghel, formerly assigned to the
Royal Palace, and Major Vasile Ratziuu, formerly assistant military
attache in Ankara,, presently directs its affairs. Colonels Tomoroveanu
land Neferu and Commander Oherghel were inclined to the choice of General
ion Gheorgheo Rumanian Minister to Berlin in 1943-1944, as president,,
At the request of Major Ratziu, however, the choice of a. president was
delayed pending the arrival in Paris of a certain General Seracim, who
reportedly has escaped from Rumania and is presently in Trieste.
Major Ratziu was appointed Chief of Staff of the new officer or-?
gan .nation and is preparing its constitution and a program of activity.
