1. Twenty Communists from China have arrived in Malang and are now living with the
Communists in the Chinese section of the town.
2. Communists in the northern areas of Parakan?are living off the population, who,
even before the Communists arrived. were suffering from a shortage of food.
3. In the vicinity of Bandoeng, a Markas Pertahanan mat Revoeblik Indonesia
(MPRRI) bas been set us-) under the leadership of a small number of Tentera
Uasional Indonesia men, who were formerly members of the 26 Battalion of the
Siliwanei Division. This MPRRI supports Moeso and has spread rumors that
General Soedirman is under the command of Alimin.
