Penicillin may be bought in State pharmacies in the Soviet Union, but
only against a doctor's prescription. The cost is 3l5 rubles per
million units. Source claims to know of a case in which two vials,
each of 200,000 units, of Soviet-produced penicillin were obtained
recently.
