the expectation that a crisis would bring about a, dissolution of the
Republican Government-inr-exile, had the Consejo in readiness to take over
the relationshi,s currently maintained by'the exile goverment with eastern
and central vuronean countries. The Communist added that an or nnizatiou
of political representatives already was in existence in those countries to
replace the dinlnr,atic representatives of the Renublicen Government. He
saecifically mentioned itanuel AZCARAT as the representative in Bucharest.
As of 3 July, AZCALATE was in Paris but extected to return to Rumania
nernanently.
