25X1 X6 The following is represented as the results of an interview between Luis Carlos
Preetee, Brazilian Cc uniet leader, and Ernesto Alvarez Veleso*= reporter for
the Mexican labor paper ,,Ppnga, at the time of the Rio Conference. Alvarez
Velasco is said to have served the Soviet Embassy of Mexico on this occasion as
a political reporters
1. Russia needs at least five years of peace, not only to complete its o tin reconstruo-.

2. Russia's use of the veto in the United Nations is not against the best interests
of Russian propaganda. On the contrary, it demonstrates the Strength of Russia

already completely so. As a result of conditions brought about l'v the war and
the present lack of food, the people are very susceptible to Con.-mist propaganda,

good work for the leftists in the United States.
