During the past month there allegedly has been a p1- onounced resentment within the armed forces in Venezuela toward the Accion Dw ocratica Party. Precautions have been tai ken by m nbers of the Army and Nations: Guard to preserve their prestige and to strengthen their positi-in in case .cion Democraticaa endeavors to remove them. The Army end National Guard are p.. -ticularly dissatisfied with the domination of the Constituent Assembly by the =':.rty and with its approval of accounts of various ministries in which there have been allegations of fraud and graft. Members of the Army, particularly,, feel this situation could be corrected, although not without dissension within ie Party ranks, f f Rosnulo Gallegos, official Accion Democratica candidate, IF elected to the presidency.
