1. BMW, Ei genaah
The BMW production a-.iota for the months of July and P,; -st 1947
was 340 two-liter cr.rs per month; actual production ir, luly was
220 cars. Before 7.5 August 1947$ the plant crew tota ~ .. 3000
workers. On that .late, a large-scale labor draft was ,gun in
order to provide trio necessary manpower for increased -oduetione
By 24 August, 1500 skilled workers, mainly mechanics, the
operators, fraia rau etc,, had been added to the crew, .d the
procurement of aud",.tlonal workers was continuing.
2. On 15 August 194'1, production of BMW motorcycles, sucx aswere
formerly used by the Viehrmachtr was resumed. A produc :ion
quota of 50 motorcycles a month was imposed; but, up tc 24
August, none had been completed.
3. Horch Works, Zwickau
The works have a monthly production quota of 1000 eig ,cylinder
cars called PKW 12, formerly used by the Weh*'macht; t. actual
production is not known. The plant now prodices 50 1,-: a month,
using twelve-cylinder Maybach motors left over from car and
tank manufacturing period during the war.
