1. In order to meet the new political situation which will be created in Venezia
Giulia. the Italian Govexrnnent has created an "Alto Com misariato per la
Venezia Giulia"s attached to the Foreign Ministry. The official function
of this body will be the study and the solution of problems connected with
refugees from Venezie. Giulia,, Italian economic interests in Venezia Giulia.,
and the settlement of refugees In Italy. Its unofficial function will be
the direction and control of the local pro-Italiin political activities,,
the financing of pro-Italian economic enterprises, and of all means which
ill preserve and defend the "Italianit r? of this area,
