l~, The "Sergio Pula" Section of the Rome Federation of the Italian Communist
Party (Quarticiolo Quarter) is composed of 80 men and 16 women. The sec-
retary of the suction is Enrico Donati and the President is Paolo Lugasteri
who often comes to Roma to distribute arms.
2,, The armament of the Section at present consists of: 4 Thompson sub-machine
guns, 4 Gorman machine pistols, 6 cases of hand grenades, and 1 mortar. in
addition, each member has a pistol and a rifle. Arms not carried by the in-
dividuals are stored in a cave east of the Q?uarticiolo and south of the Via
Prenestrina.
3. The Movement has a clandestine printing press located in the Secretary's
house located in loft 1, stairway Q, Apartment 3.3, Quarticiolo. In addition
the section pesseases two w/t sets, 3 field telephones (one of which is op-
erating between the section headquarters and the Secretary's house, the other
two are hiddm in the cave mentioned abovel
4. On Sundays, 17 March 1947, a meeting was held at which the Secretary stated
that du=ng the next elections the members of the Section would remain on
the premises armed,, At the end of the meeting the members were given pro-
paganda pamphlets to distribute.

The Section is in part financed from funds received from the : `ederation Hqs,
and raostly from black market deals. For instance, the section cane into poss-
ession of 5500 liters of gasoline which the Germans left behind in a warehouse
wanaged by a certain INNOCENTI. A large quantity of the gasoline has d r
been sold on the black market and the remaining 2000 liters are now consigned
to Con ade FICK. It. is alleged that the arms for the section are bought in
