1. Source has learned from several Soviet medical officers formrly stationed
in Hungary that new secret orders have been issued by Loscow and distributed
to all the units of the Central Group of Forces :Lt Austria and Hungary. The
orders, which will a "f ect all units and w ill become effective :gin 10 February
19474 state that the table of organization of specific units will be cut,
other specific units will be deactivated and still others will be transferred
to new stations.
Z. Many medical officers have been assembled at ioedlingr the headquarters of the
medical service of the Soviet forces in Austria and Hungary, for demobilization
and return to the U.3.3.1ta For example, the 4th Cavalry Squadron, 6km from
Csorna near Sopron, has cut its medical staff from three officers and two
assistants to one officer and one assistant.
