Subsources report that the awa'? 1 airfields at Va ,ias (north of
Tirana) and at Balish (southern Albaani?a) are now in use The
ground installations of the ai , `lelds at Tirana and Valona
have been repaired and Improved.
2 The exttetence of several Soviet co issians in Tirana and
other strategic; but unidentified points in Albania is reported
as of 24 November 1946. An aeronautical miss .on is said to be
surveying the terrain with a view to the construction of large
new airfields ? Plans are al3o under way for the development of
present fields to a.cooz od ate 'large bombers and fighter planes.
