2. From German Central Adrni.nletration directives it is now clear that a oovplete
autarchy is being planned for the Russian Zone. An emple is provided by the

m chine tools and other equipment formerly not produced in the Zone. This is
very difficult because in many cases the plant required has already been
dismantled. Large orders for machine-tools have been placed with the

expanded as a port to take the place of Stettin.
3. Great difficulty is being experienced in filling many orders because large-scale
requisitioning has recently recotmneanced throughout the Zone. When complaints
were made about this to the authorities In Ear1ahorst,. they expressed complete
ignox-,rice. An example is given in Krels bue in Saxony where in the last week
of June material to the value of fourteen a l.lion marks were requisitioned.
if this material had not been requisitioner it would have given employment toF
