1. Action: The minutes of the last meeting, 1 December 1952
(IAC-M-90), were approved.

2. Action: Approved with minor modifications; to be given same
dissemination as NIE-64 (Part I). Agreed to reprint NIE-75, "Probable
Developments in Iran through 1953," in order to reflect the superseding
estimate made in paragraph 48 of this Revision and Supplement.

3. Discussion: General Smith emphasized the difficulty of
achieving a responsive paper acceptable to all agencies and the duty
of CIA to take responsibility for an uncoordinated estimate of this
type. It was thought desirable to attempt to accommodate the three
present drafts, but, in any event, to clear the estimate at the next
IAC meeting. Agreed to restrict dissemination to the National Security
Council, Senior Staff, and very few others.
