4. Discussion: The representative of the Department of State
reported r 1e- on the activities of the new EIC Working Croup on
Sino'Soviet Bloc Economic Activities in Underdeveloped Areas, and I;Ien

the Joint Staff then offered a number of suggestions for improving the
format and coverage of the biweekly reports, and particularly urged
that non-LAC agencies with Important capabilities or interests in this
field be brought into these working-group activities.

The committee requested the Chairman to address letters to
principal associate (non-IAC) members of the EIC, requesting c< ntE:
