1. The Polish firm, Rohn-Zielinski, Zaklady Elektrotechniczne, S.A., Licencja Brown-
Boveri, Warsaw, Poland, (hereafter referred to as R.Z,Z.E., SA) had its main
office,where it employed 225 technicians and office help, located at ul. Bielan-
ska 6, Warsaw, Poland. The main factory was located at Zychlin, where it had seven
hundred employees; and a minor factory, employing 450. people, was located at
Cieszyn, Upper Silesia.
2. The factory at Zychlin was located on the former site of an old sugar-beet ;factory.
Here there was plenty of space for development and. the company took advantage
25X1 of this by erecting a huge new transformer production bu.lding. This plant was
25X1 built in the late 1920's or the early 1930's.

ing, constructed of steel, cement and brick.
The R.Z.Z.E.,SA was (The Polish Electrical Company, Polskie Towar-
zystwo Elektryczne, S.A. principal competitor.
The R.Z.Z.E.,SA's principal production consisted of the following:
a. Zychlin Factory: Three-phase induction motors, from. about 20 hp at 1500
rpm up to 1000 hp at 1000 rpm or slightly larger.
Direct-current machines, industrial sizes.,
Street-car motors, about 40 hp, 800 rpm.

industrialized areas and the large' investment in buildings and equipment, that
neither of this company's factories was re-located during World War II.
6. The production of the R.Z.Z.E.,SA's plants was of the highest quality, and ranked
high with the producers of like equipment and machinery in other parts of western
Europe.

sugar.-industries. They also dld. some production for the Polish Army.
10. R..Z.Z_,.E..,SA, was' connected with the Polish company, "Rohn-Zielinski", foundry
and pump manufacturers, but all of their electrical.products.re built accord-
