The field.was reached by the Csepel-Budapest Road and by the railroad located approximately 500 meters east of the base. The Csepel automobile factory, was located about 800 meters east of the airfield. the field was rectangular and in the shape of the letter "L". 50X1 50X1 Tokol was administered by the Hungarians and the Soviets. Routine flight operations were undertaken only by the Soviet air unit stationed at the field, there was no regular Hungarian air unit assigned there however, a fighter and an assault regiment would be moved to the field from Kecskemet sometime in January 1951. 50X1 50X1 PIN-.206 were used for night flight and for para- chute jumps during the daytime. 3. The Csepel power station provided the airfield with adequate electricity., In November 1950, the airfield was used as a transfer point for Soviet , aircraft. Planes were flown to TokOl by Soviet pilots and then transferrpa to various airfields by Hungarian pilots. At that time ten IL-10 airera50X1 were flown there by Soviet female pilots. 4. YAK,-9'a at the al/field used 95 octane gasoline, YAK-11's 87 octane, UT-72's? YAK-189s and P0-21s used 72 octane. 5. 50X1 6. The points POINT 1.. It was approximately 950 meters long and 10 meters wide. Parking area for DC-3 aircraft. Ten IL-2 aircraft in storage status. Each box contained disassembled YAK-11 aircraft. These boxes arrived at the airfield from the USSR during November 1950. Five of these aircraft were assembled and flown to Szolnok Airfield and then transferred to Kecskemet; five others were assembled and flown to Veszprem Airfield; the remaining two were kept in the hangar at Tokol. Concrete sidewalk, 3 meters wide. Fountain and open air shower. Concrete, grass covered air raid shelter partly underground. Hangar and office building approximately 100 meters long and 40 meters wide. This building was also used for billets. It was constructed of reinforced concrete and the walls were approximately 80 cm thick. Guard house constructed of brick, with red tile roof and camouflaged, about 60 meters long and 5 meters wide. Csepel-Budapest concrete road, 7 meters wide. Vineyard. Wooden fence about 3 meters high.
