OF PAGES REFERENCES: 50X1 50X1 SOURCE In about 1950, excavation work was started in the Frantiskuv kopec (Frantisek's Hill) in Brno. There were about three tunnels, entrances into which faced boarding platform No.5 of the Brno rail- r ad station. They were about 2.5 m, high and about three meters wide at their entrances. The entire area around these entrances was surrounded by a wooden fence about two meters high, part of which .ran along the pavement.of the road. This fence formed a yard about three meters wide in which cement mixers, air compress rsa and other equipment were located. Construction had ot been finished as of February 1954, these tunnels would serve as ammunition dump. 50X1 2, At about the same time, the tunnels under the Spielberg in Brno were completed. Construction work on them had een started by the Germans during the war, these tunnels 50X1 would also serve as ammunition dumps.
