SUBJECT: Questions Regarding _Survey
Terms of Reference
1. By the very nature of its operation well as its assigned
responsibility under the terms of is primarily a
TATINTL po office, not a reference sor ce, per se. In this to be
taken in ccount, particularly in view of Survey of
Production.
2. How can the survey be restricted to the DD/I area when
such Customers constitute an estimated customer demand of less
than ten percent of requests. (DD/P, for instance, accounts for
35% of requests received.) Further, in determining
support for the production offices. can the roles of R. D, DIA's
Military Capabilities Division and be ignored
3. Most emphatically, however, too great a volume of material
has been asked for. To adequately cover "Historical Background",
for example, literally dozens of pages of text would be required.
Some of the other questions would require statistical data which may
very well no longer be available (T/4's, budgets, request levels,
etc.).
