LIAISON Called Jan Novins, on the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who gave me the names of the Senators traveling with Senator Robert Morgan (D., N. Car.) to Europe. This information was cabled to the field. STAT 15. I contacted the STAT following individuals in an e- to alert em to the 4 November 1978 Presidential Finding: Bill Miller, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff; Guy McConnell and Pete Bonner, Senate Appropriations Committee staff; Norvill Jones, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff; Loch Johnson, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence staff, in the absence of Tom Latimer and Mike O'Neill, also on the Permanent Select Committee staff but were out of town; Ralph Preston and Chuck Snodgrass, House Appropriations Committee staff; Jack Brady, House International Relations Committee staff; and Frank Sullivan, Senate Armed Services Committee staff. No problems were encountered. 16. BRIEFING While meeting with Frank Sullivan, Senate Arme Services Committee staff, he asked for a briefing on the situation in Iran. I told him I would be back in touch with him on this. 17. Richmond (D., N.Y.), requesting a professional applicantion be sent to her for a constituent. OLC Registry was advised. 2. LIAISON Received a call from Mrs. Fulton, Librarian, Congressional Budget Office, requesting that a D. Morganstern, Natural Resources Division, CBO, be put on our mailing list to receive the "International Energy Biweekly Statistical Review." I have called NFAC/CSS and am waiting approval. 3. LIAISON Duane Andrews, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence staff, called to say Representative Bill D. Burlison (D., Mo.) is available on 24 November 1978 for briefings on his trip to Central America and to meet with the Director. Andrews asked us to confirm the date and tell.them what the schedule would be. 4 BRIEFING Called Bill Miles, Administrative Assistant presentative William V. Alexander (D., Ark.), to confirm the China briefing on Tuesday, 7 November. 5. BRIEFING Dan Childs, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence sta f, called to ask that we provide a briefing for him and Bill Miller, Staff Director, on the two most recent Presidential Findings. He would like the briefing at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 8 November, in S-407 of the Capitol. Arrangements are being made with the Operations Directorate and the Comptroller. 25X1 6.
