On Wednesday, 14 June, I met with
Chairman Bayh and Senator Goldwater to again
press my case for the positions and funds I
have requested for reorganization and expansion
of the Intelligence Community Staff. During
the discussion, a good many kind words were
said by the, Senators about the Committee staff
analysis which has been done on this issue.
I just want you to know that, irrespective
of the final decision, I have the greatest
respect for the work you and others have done
on this matter, and I hope we can continue to
have a cooperative and constructive relationship,
