Rangel (D., N.Y.), to find that he is no longer connected with that office and Miss Shirley Jones spoke with me about subject of Privacy Act requests on two individuals who were visiting with the (nnaresaew.~., ...a...__ s. Jones said that her office decided to put the request in writing to CIA and letters are en route on each of the individuals. I told Shaw that he had already seen nearly all of it in his preliminary review but that the entire package was now available for his perusal at his earliest convenience. Mike O'Neil, of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence staff, will review the material for the first time tomorrow afternoon. will give him an introductory briefing. I LIAISON Ms. Jean Fitz-Simon- from of the Senate Human Resources Subcommittee on Health and Scientific Research MKULTRA files. Ms. Fitz-Simon assured me that she had not come across any Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) leads in the classified CIA material held by the Subcommittee. STAT STAT STAT 4. I I LIAISON Called Molly Williamson, Research Director, House Select Committee on Population, to confirm her scheduled meeting for 16 February. She will be lunching with several NFAC analysts and talking with some NFAC/OGCR/ERAC people in the afternoon. 5? LIAISON A group of House Select Committee on Assassination staffers visited headquarters to review Agency material. Called Bill Miller, Staff Director, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, on the secure phone, and reviewed with him the manner of dealing with the Committee's request concerning declassification of the Bayh/Goldwater testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on U. S. intelligence activities in Miller would appreciate it if our letter would be up on the Hill before tomorrow afternoon in light of the commitment made on the floor. I LIAISON Bob Beckel, White House staff, clle and made arrangements forl DDO/LA Division, 25X1 to meet with him and Phil Jordan, DOJ, with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence to review with Bill. Miller, Staff Director of the Committee, and David Bushong, of the Committee staff, the reasons and justification STAT for our security deletions from the testimony. 16. LIAISON I DIA, called 25X1 to discuss details of the declassification requirement of the enclosure to the letter to Chairman William Proxmire (D., Wis.), Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, regarding the Air Taxi Company. He stated that the information contained in the enclosure, which was lifted from DIA..!reports, had in fact been declassified. 17. LIAISON DIA, called regard-25X1 lug the. dec asst ication of information contained in the enclosure to the letter to Chairman William Proxmire (D., Wis.), Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, regarding the Air Taxi Company, etc. He said the Committee's Staff Director, Ken McLean, had been in touch with him and asked for sanitized copies of the reports themselves. I said this was not my understanding but I would check with McLean. After checking with McLean, I told all that was necessary was that we declassify the enclosure.
