1. (Unclassified - ME) FOIA/LIAISON I returned a call to
Mr. Jack Kelley, in the office of Representative Charles B. Rangel (D., N. Y.),
to find that he is no longer connected with that office and Miss Shirle -
Jones spoke with me about subject of STAT
STAT
2. (Unclassified - RJK) LIAISON Called David Sha-w- of nate
Select Committee on Intelligence staff, to inform him that STAT
OGC, had reviewed all of the Halkin v. Helms material and determined
what was relevant to the case. I told Shaw that he had already seen
nearly all of it in his preliminary review but that the entire package was
now available for his perusal at his earliest convenience. Mike O'Neil,
of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence staff, will
review the material for the first time tomorrow afternoon. STAT
will give him an introductory briefing.
(Unclassified - ABS) LIAISON Ms. Jean Fitz-Simon, from
the Deg~artment of Justice, called to advise that she completed her review
of the Senate Human Resources Subcommittee on Health and Scientific
Research MKULTRA files. Ms. Fitz-Simon assured me that she had not
come across any Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) leads in the classified
CIA material held by the Subcommittee.
4. (Unclassified - GMC) LIAISON Called Molly Williamson, Research
Director, House Select Committee on Population, to confirm her scheduled
meeting for 16 February. She will be lunching with several NFAC analysts
and talking with some NFAC/OGCR/ERAC people in the afternoon.
5. (Unclassified - RSG) LIAISON A group of House Select Committee
on Assassination staffers visited headquarters to review Agency material.
