This is to acknowledge your request, dated 24 February
1978, to Senator Church for information on drug-related docu-
ments. His office referred it to the CIA for direct response
to you.
As of this date, the Agency has released 14,449 pages,
with additional releases scheduled as documents are reviewed.
We ask that you send us a check or money order made payable
to the Treasurer of the United States in the amount of
$1,444.90 to cover the copying costs for the documents thus
far released. Also, if you are interested, please inform
us and we can, upon payment of the copying fees, send you
the additional releases as they become available.
The hypnosis documents referred to in your letter were
released as part of the ARTICHOKE documents. To date, this
Agency has released 2,317 pages of these documents. (This
total is included in the above 14,449 figure.) If you wish
to obtain only this latter, smaller group of documents, please
send a check or money order in the amount of $231.70, made
payable to the Treasurer of the United States and mention
F-76-0476.
I will forward the documents to you upon receipt of
payment.
