In regard to the specific possibility that may have STAT
been an unwitting target of drug experimentation y , the recently
discovered files on Project MKULTRA do contain evidence that research
involving human testing was conducted in the fields of behavior control
using techniques involving hypnosis, drugs, etc. However, our records
indicate such testing on unwitting subjects ceased in 1964. Unfortunately,
Project MKULTRA files do not contain the names of persons who may have
been used as subjects and we have no way of determining whether or not
In order to determine what files or records, if any, this Agency
may have on his letter has been forwarded to Mr. Gene F.
Wilson, our n orma ion an Privacy Coordinator, who will initiate an
appropriate review of Agency files. Mr. Wilson will correspond with
n this matter and will furnish the results of the Agency's
review directly to him.
