catalogs of minerals and metal alloys offered by Chinese
Communist trading corporations for export
a. Catalog of Minerals, issued by the Kwangtung branch of the China
National Minerals Corporation (CNMC). The catalog, in Chinese and
English, gave specifications of minerals (cement, coal, iron ore,
pig iron, graphite, feldspar, and others) from Kwangtung, Kwangsi,
Hunan, Kwsichow, Yunnan, Fukien, Kiangsi? Hopeh, 5.nd Shantung.
b. Kwangsi Minerals, issued by the Kwangsi branch of the CNMC. Among
the minerals listed were barite, talc, sulfur, dolomite, quartz,
and manganese, from various localities in Kwangsi Province, and
marble from Yunnan.
c. Minerals, issued by the Shanghai office of the CNMC. Among the items
offered were alum from Sikang, Szechuan, Hupeh, and Yunnan; antimony
from Hunan; fluorspar from Chekiang; and magnesite sand from Liao-
ning.
d. Minerals, issued by the Tientsin branch of the CNMC. The minerals
offered and described included dolomite from Port Arthur and Dairen,
feldspar from Hopeh and Kirin, and mica from Inner Mongolia.
e. Catalogue of Commodities, issued by the Fukien office of the CNMC.
All minerals listed were from various places in Fukien Province.
f. Ferro-Alloys, issued by the Tientsin branch of the China National
Metals Import Corporation (CNMIC). This folder, in English, gave
the chemical composition of ferro-silicon2 ferro-molybdenum, ferro-
tungsten, ferro-manganese (high carbon and medium carbon), silicon
manganese, calcium silicon, and silicon metal.
g. White Metals, Solders, and Type Metals, issued by the Tientsin branch
of ONMIC. This pamphlet, in English, gave the specicifications of
tin-base and lead-base babbitt metals, type metals, fusible metals,
Thbstshor copi5erv.1ead-tin alloys for foil, and soft, hard, and
silver solders.
