1. Bulgaria has recently received from the Soviet Union:
a. Nine tugs, each with a 1,000 hp. Diesel motor
b. Seven an 800 hp. steam engine.
Additional tugs are now being made in Czechoslovakia, for Bulgarian account.
2. The USSR ordered the new tugs in Czechoslovakia, for Bulgaria. This is part
of the work of the Council for thitual Economic Aid, which links Bulgaria, an
a satellite state of the USSR, with Czechoslovakia, as another satellite.
The tugs came from the Skoda shipyards at Eomorno. They are to be used both
on the Danube and in the Black Sea.
3.
The Czech shipyards are to be paid in oil from the Austrian wells of Zistendorf.
